Job summary

St Philips Care Group, at Kippen House Care Centre in Scotland, is seeking an enthusiastic Domestic and Laundry Assistant to join the housekeeping team. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards across resident rooms and shared spaces, ensuring a homely, tidy environment for all residents.

Reporting to the Care Home Manager, you will prioritise tasks, use resources efficiently and follow COSHH and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
• Clean and care for residents' rooms to be homely and tidy.
• Be responsible for communal areas, showers, bathrooms, dining area and seating areas.
• Report accidents and hazards to management.
• Be aware of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace.
• Be willing to work flexibly within a care home and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home and ensure resident rooms are clean and comfortable.
• Clean and care for residents’ rooms, keeping them homely, tidy and welcoming.
• Maintain cleanliness in communal areas, showers, bathrooms, dining area and seating areas.
• Report accidents, untoward incidents, hazards and faulty equipment to the Care Home Manager.
