Job summary

Serencroft Care Homes is seeking a Domestic Assistant (Maternity Cover) at Woodlands Care Home in Stockport. This 37.5-hour-per-week role is fixed term for 12 months.

You will be responsible for daily cleaning, laundry, and maintaining high standards of hygiene, following infection prevention procedures and COSHH guidelines to keep residents safe and comfortable. Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning/housekeeping is desirable.
• High hygiene awareness and methods for infection prevention.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.
• Carry out laundry duties, including washing, drying and ironing.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and COSHH guidelines at all times.
• Maintain accurate cleaning schedules and records per home procedures.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are stored and used safely.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards identified while cleaning.
• Support the wider care team to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents.
• Assist with the appropriate disposal of waste, including clinical waste, per home policy.
