Job summary

The Rowans, 399 Bickershaw Lane, Bickershaw, Wigan, WN2 5TE, is seeking a Domestic Assistant (Homemaker) to join our 66-bed care home team in Wigan. You will help maintain cleanliness of bedrooms, communal areas and assist with laundry, ensuring clothes are washed, ironed, and neatly stored for residents.

COSHH understanding is desirable. You will work on a 7-day rota (including weekends) and collaborate with the Home Manager to uphold high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in housekeeping (or equivalent)
• Willingness to complete NVQ if not held
• Experience in a similar environment is desirable
• Able to work on a 7-day rota including weekends

Responsibilities

• Clean all allocated rooms and communal areas as directed
• Co-operate with Home Manager to maintain hygiene standards
• Represent The Rowans with a professional, welcoming presence
• Attend and contribute to team meetings
• Perform additional duties to support home operations
