Job summary

Highgate Care in Brighouse is seeking a Domestic/Laundry Assistant for Rastrick Hall & Grange. This permanent, full-time 30-hour post offers a friendly team and a chance to contribute to residents’ daily comfort through effective laundry and cleaning duties.

You’ll maintain cleanliness, handle laundry tasks, follow infection control procedures, and support a warm, person-centred care environment built on kindness. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Creative and able to motivate others.
• Interest or experience in care settings is a bonus.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises.
• Launder clothes, linens and other washable items safely and efficiently.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment.
• Fold, iron and store laundered items; label as required.
• Follow infection control procedures and report faulty equipment.
