Job summary

Serenita Care Home in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Domestic Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents with complex needs. You will help create a calm, welcoming space where residents feel at home and supported.

Responsibilities include cleaning across rooms and shared spaces, upholding hygiene standards and infection control, and collaborating with the team to ensure smooth daily operations of the home.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or domestic work is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Respectful and considerate when working in residents’ rooms.
• Good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Willingness to learn and follow cleaning procedures and infection control guidance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties across residents’ rooms, communal areas and shared spaces.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control at all times.
• Support a well organised environment and contribute to the smooth running of the home.
