Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking a friendly Catering & Hospitality Assistant for Halcyon House Care Home in Formby. You will prepare and serve meals, support modified diets, maintain high hygiene standards and assist with stock and budget management.

This is a permanent full-time role with 38 hours per week, rotating early shifts. The role emphasizes nutritious meals, resident wellbeing and a warm dining experience, with opportunities for training and progression within a supportive catering

Qualifications

• Experience in catering/hospitality and delivering high-quality food with good service.
• Understanding of nutrition for older people and dietary needs.
• Strong organisational, communication and multitasking abilities.
• Commitment to cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for residents.
• Support modified diets and menu planning with resident preferences.
• Manage stock, place orders, and work within budget while ensuring safety.
• Maintain clean, safe kitchen operations and comply with health regulations.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience and resident wellbeing.
