Job summary

Kingsley Healthcare is seeking a Deputy Manager to support operational delivery in our care home. You will oversee care staff and provide leadership in the Home Manager's absence, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care and robust records.

You will train staff, conduct pre-admission assessments, maintain care plans and daily notes, and communicate effectively with residents’ families and external partners to uphold our values-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
• Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and deliver quality care.
• Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staff.
• Ability to promote ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing operations within the home to reach or exceed goals and ensure high-quality care.
• Oversee care staff and assume full management in the Home Manager's absence.
• Train and supervise care staff across all facets of their work.
• Assist with pre-admission assessments of residents and initial care planning.
• Ensure care plans and daily records are up to date; maintain clear communication with residents' families and partner organisations.
