Job summary

Avon Search is seeking a Chef for a charming Victorian care home in Crosby. This part-time role (25.5 hours/week) involves preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs and preferences, in a warm residential setting.

You will work closely with the care team to deliver high-quality catering that supports wellbeing and enjoyment. The role requires prior chef experience in care/home or hospitality, good hygiene knowledge (Level 2 preferred), and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef in care/home or hospitality settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred).
• Ability to prepare meals for a variety of dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals in line with planned menus.
• Cater for dietary, cultural, and medical requirements of residents.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
• Work with the care team to meet residents’ nutritional needs.
• Present meals attractively and serve on time.
• Contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for residents.
