Job summary

Willowmere Care Centre in Barnet, North London, is seeking a Chef to join a specialist care setting and deliver nutritious meals to residents with complex nursing needs. You will manage food preparation, adapt to dietary requirements and help maintain high presentation and safety standards.

The role offers a consistent pattern, no late evenings or split shifts, with ongoing training and development opportunities in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Understanding of dietary requirements, including modified or specialist diets, is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive and reliable approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, nutritious meals within a specialist care setting.
• Tailor meals to individual dietary needs and restrictions.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and day-to-day service.
