Job Description: Chef at The Triangle Care Home

The Triangle Care Home is a small and friendly purpose-built nursing home offering a spacious and comfortable environment with 24-hour care and support for older adults.

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team for up to 23 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote and maintain the good reputation of the home.
  • Ensure complete confidentiality regarding all matters concerning the Home, Clients, staff, and related work.
  • Purchase fresh foods daily from local suppliers.
  • Order frozen foods weekly from nominated suppliers.
  • Regularly check that supplier prices are competitive.
  • Manage all monies issued and receipts obtained.
  • Prepare menus in collaboration with the Manager.
  • Prepare high-standard nutritional food, considering any special dietary requirements.
  • Ensure kitchen staff clear dishes promptly and tidily.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Follow food hygiene regulations, promote choice and independence, and contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle for residents. Adhere to Health and Safety legislation, Emergency, and Fire procedures.
  • Report faulty appliances, damaged equipment, or potential hazards to the Manager.
  • Follow all Group policies and procedures within specified timescales.
  • Undertake additional duties as necessary.
  • Attend training sessions and courses as required, taking responsibility for personal development and sharing aspirations with others.
