Qualifikationen

• Educated to a minimum of degree level or able to demonstrate work at graduate level, or equivalent experience in governance, safety, risk or assurance field

Aufgaben

• Coordinate the delivery of governance, quality, risk and patient safety activities across the Medical Care Group, ensuring effective governance processes are embedded within clinical services.
• Support the reporting, review and investigation of patient safety incidents, applying PSIRF principles and promoting a fair, just and learning culture.
• Support and facilitate rapid review meetings, quality and safety meetings, mortality meetings and other governance forums, ensuring actions are tracked and completed.
• Analyse and interpret information from incidents, complaints, audits, claims, inquests and other governance data sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor and provide assurance on the implementation and effectiveness of safety actions, improvement plans and risk mitigation measures.
• Work with clinical leaders, matrons and managers to support effective risk assessment, risk management and compliance with governance requirements.
• Assist in assessing, reviewing and evidencing compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, Trust policies and relevant national guidance.
• Prepare and present reports, dashboards and assurance documentation for senior leaders, governance committees and quality meetings.
• Support the sharing of learning from incidents, audits and mortality reviews to improve patient safety and quality of care across services.
• Provide specialist advice, guidance and training to staff on governance, patient safety, risk management, compliance and assurance processes.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clinical, operational and corporate teams to support the delivery of quality improvement initiatives and organisational priorities.
• Deputise for the Care Group Governance Manager as required and contribute to the ongoing development of governance systems, policies and procedures across the Care Group.
