Job summary

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and South West Birmingham NHS Trust collaborate to maintain Harvest View, a modern 80-bed reablement centre in Rowley Regis. We seek a reliable Handyperson to keep the facility safe, functional and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff.

You will undertake a range of practical maintenance and caretaking tasks, from minor repairs to reporting defects, with duties including driving shifts and supporting heating, air conditioning and water systems as

Qualifications

• Maintenance, caretaking or handyperson experience.
• Ability to identify and resolve minor maintenance issues.
• Willingness to undertake role-specific training.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out minor repairs and decoration work.
• Undertake general maintenance and handyperson duties within the centre.
• Identify and report building defects and major repair issues.
• Support heating, air conditioning and water systems operation.
• Maintain equipment and supply stores.
• Assist with site security and ensure safety of building.
• Undertake driving duties when required.
• Support upkeep and presentation of the premises.
