Job summary

Bluebird Care West Dorset in Dorset is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our expert team delivering high-quality home care. You’ll support customers with daily living tasks, work independently or with a small team, and help people remain comfortable in their own homes.

Full induction and ongoing training ensure you’re supported from day one. Flexible shifts, mileage and travel time paid, and opportunities for career development are offered.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
• Compassionate attitude with a calm approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs.
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition.
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal.
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning.
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for.

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided
