Job summary

A childcare support? No. Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Ilkeston invites experienced Care Assistants to work weekend shifts in a 31-bed care home. You will support residents with daily tasks, assist with hygiene, mobility and nutrition, and contribute to their overall well-being.

You will follow health and safety guidelines, complete housekeeping tasks, and report updates to senior staff. DBS dated within 12 months is required; online training is available at a subsidised fee.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months.
• Up-to-date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training.
• Referenceable work history.
• At least 3 months experience within a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Support residents in daily tasks and promote hygiene, mobility and nutrition.
• Assist with housekeeping and maintain health and safety guidelines.
• Accurately report condition updates and any incidents to senior staff.
• Contribute to residents' mental and physical well-being within a warm team environment.

Job description

We have flexible work opportunities available for experienced Care Assistants to work weekend hours in the Ilkeston area of Derbyshire.

You will be working in a beautiful care home which caters for up to 31 residents. The residents suffer with age related illnesses such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s, therefore, supporting their mental and physical well-being is of the utmost importance.

As a Healthcare Assistant you will be supporting residents in their daily tasks, facilitating hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.

You will be expected to complete housekeeping tasks, follow health and safety guidelines, and accurately report condition updates and any incidents to senior staff members.

As a Care Assistant, you will need:

• An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
• Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training
• A Referenceable work history
• At least 3 months experience within a similar setting
