Job summary

A Sandscreens Nationwide Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking experienced care assistants to join the team supporting residents with age-related illnesses such as Alzheimer’s and mobility needs. You will work with the existing care team to provide a high standard of care to residents in a residential setting.

This role covers night shifts from 21:00 to 07:00, with weekend hours. Applicants should have references, DBS, and mandatory training and will be supported with online training if needed.

Qualifications

• Two employment references, one from a care home.
• In-date mandatory training certificates (moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control).
• Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service.
• Experience with Hoists, Slings and Rotundas.
• Minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience in a residential care home.
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Care Assistant Role

We have roles available for experienced care assistants.

You will be supporting the existing care team who specialise in illnesses related to old age, such as Alzheimer’s Disease or physical mobility issues.

As a care assistant you will be a key member of the team in providing high standard of care to the 35 service users.

Responsibilities

This opportunity will be perfect for someone who is naturally kind, caring and compassionate as well as supportive and encouraging. You will need to be a good listener and have patience and understanding.

Requirements

• Have two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting


• Hold in-date mandatory training certificates (inc. moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)


• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service.


• Have a range of experience in the use of Hoists, Slings and Rotundas


• Have a minimum of 6 months paid UK work experience working within a residential care home.


• Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

This is an ongoing role with potential for a permanent position.

You will be working from 2100 to 0700, with hours available on Saturdays ad Sundays

The rate of pay for this role is £13.25 per hour.
