Responsibilities

• Support residents with washing, toileting, dressing and daily living while maintaining dignity.
• Assist with physical, emotional and spiritual care needs and provide attentive companionship.
• Support residents with limited mobility and use aids effectively.
• Monitor residents who may be confused or exhibit behavioural changes.
• Assist in continence promotion and end-of-life care with sensitivity.
• Record care planning updates and daily notes per policy.
• Encourage participation in activities and social engagement.
• Answer nurse calls, doors and phones promptly and relay messages.
• Report wellbeing observations to senior staff and conduct regular checks.
• Make residents and visitors feel welcome and provide refreshments as needed.
• Make and change beds and keep rooms clean and tidy in line with policy.
