Job summary

Care Dorset Ltd is recruiting for a part-time kitchen role in Blandford Forum. You will prepare, cook and serve meals and snacks following approved menus, and assist with external meals for meals-on-wheels and other units.

The role requires adherence to quality and safety standards, cost-efficiency in use of materials, and keeping kitchen areas clean. Shifts include alternate weekends, with visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Part-time position, 30 hours per week.
• Shifts to include alternate weekend working.
• Applications from a sensible commuting distance considered.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and serve meals and snacks in accordance with the menus provided.
• Prepare food in accordance with menus approved.
• Assist in the preparation and handling of external meals, including pre-packed frozen meals, for meals-on-wheels delivery and for other units.
• Check deliveries for quality, quantity and description.
• Ensure economical use of materials and equipment for cost efficiency, quality and safety.
• Clean kitchen areas and equipment to Environmental Health standards.
• Ensure all equipment is kept in efficient working order.

• Prepare food in accordance with menus approved.
• Assist in the preparation and handling of any external meals, including pre-packed frozen meals, for meals-on-wheels delivery and the production of meals for other units.
• Check where appropriate deliveries for quality, quantity and description.
• Ensure the correct and economical use of materials and equipment, to achieve maximum cost efficiency, quality and safety.
• Cleaning kitchen areas and equipment to Environmental Health standards.
• Ensure all equipment is kept in efficient working order
• This is a part-time position, working 30 hours per week.
• Shifts to include alternate weekend working
