Job summary

Bupa’s Eglantine Villa Care Home in Horton Kirby, Dartford is seeking a Care Assistant to join a supportive team. The role involves providing person-centred care, companionship, and assisting with personal care to residents, with nights and weekend shifts.

You will help maintain care plans, monitor residents, support nutrition, and participate in activities. A valid Health and Social Care qualification is desirable, and own transport is required due to the home's location.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.

• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

Ensuite bedrooms are well-equipped to ensure residents feel safe and comfortable.Balanced meals can be enjoyed in the dining room overlooking the gardens, or in the privacy of people's own rooms. There are lighter alternatives available throughout the day and birthdays are celebrated with a personalised cake.Eglantine Villa knows that popular activities and stimulating interactions are a vital part of good care. It can also be a good opportunity for friends and family to spend time with residents. Having something interesting going on every day is very important for a resident's general well being, as it helps to keep their minds active and improves their appetite.Friends and family are welcome to participate in any or all of the activities at any time.
