The Role

  • Personal Care Assistant/Nurse working with dementia clients to assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Location could be live-in care in the individual's home. Else it will be for care in the community and or at supported living schemes, care homes.
  • Work on activities to help provide a stimulating and life affirming environment for the individual.
  • Medication Management: Support clients with medication reminders and administration in accordance with prescribed guidelines, ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
  • Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to clients' dietary requirements and preferences, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  • Welfare Checks: Conduct regular welfare checks to assess the well-being of clients, providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Domestic Tasks: Assist with light household chores, including bed making, laundry, and cleaning, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for clients.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including notes on clients’ progress and any changes in their condition, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and address any concerns promptly.
  • Understanding and helping to change the lives of individuals through focused care delivery.
  • We are willing to provide sponsorship for working in the UK for selected individuals. We also understand the uncertainties and logistical difficulties when it comes to making an overseas move and will try to answer all your questions to help provide the comfort required for you to make an informed decision.

Ideal Profile

  • You have at least 2 years experience including solid experience in a similar role within Healthcare & Lifesciences company.
  • You have working knowledge and good experience of dealing with individuals who suffer from dementia.
  • You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders.
  • You are adaptable and thrive in changing environments.
  • You have a caring and collaborative nature.
  • You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard and follows outlined regulated processes.
  • You have a good grasp of verbal and written English.
  • Ideally it would be good if you held a valid driving license.
