Job summary

Rota Support Ltd in Norwich is seeking healthcare assistants for ad-hoc, flexible shifts on a 0 hours contract across a range of care homes.

You will work at short notice or booked in advance to cover leaves and vacancies, with duties including assisting with daily living activities, moving patients, monitoring vitals, and supporting nurses and other staff.

About the Company

Rota Support LTD specialises in the supply of permanent and temporary Care, Nursing & Support staff into the private healthcare sector, including care homes for the elderly, nursing homes, learning disability and mental health services, as well as private hospitals.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants located in Norwich that are looking for ad-hoc, flexible shifts. These shifts can accumulate into either full time hours or part time hours, but will be offered on a 0 hours contract. The role will include working at different homes and services covering gaps in our clients rotas due to annual leave, maternity leave, sickness and vacancies. These shifts may arise at short notice due to last minute emergencies, whilst also being booked weeks in advance, depending on the clients needs.

Everyday tasks will consist of the following, but not be limited to;

• Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding and using the toilet
• Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary
• Helping tidy the patient's home or room
• Taking the patient's vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
• Talking to patients and reassuring them
• Assisting nurses and other staff when needed

About the Person

A suitable candidate for this position will be somebody that has a minimum of 4 months experience in a care home previously. Somebody that has a good understanding of spoken and written English. Somebody that is compassionate, patient and enjoys helping others.
