Job summary

Bupa's The Highgate Care Home in London is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts on a bank basis. You will support residents with personal care, nutrition, and daily activities to promote independence.

The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care, documenting changes, and collaborating with a team to maintain high standards. Bank hours offer flexible patterns and the chance to contribute to a valued care environment.

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
