Job summary

Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated Night-shift Care Assistant to support residents with personal care, hygiene and wellbeing. You will assist the care team to maintain continuous services, while upholding residents' dignity and independence.

The role requires flexibility to cover a range of tasks at short notice and includes a thorough induction and training programme. A DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to keep services continuous.
• Help residents with all personal hygiene care while protecting independence, dignity and respect.
• Recognise clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and signs of infection, and escalate them promptly.
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality.
• Follow safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

A permanent night-shift Care Assistant post at Newcross Care Home, one of Avery Healthcare's homes. The role centres on personal care for residents, from hygiene support to spotting early signs of risk such as falls, pressure sores and infection. It suits someone who can cover a range of tasks at short notice, as no prior experience is needed and a full induction and training programme is provided. A DBS check and proof of right to work are required.
