Job summary

Birchmere Mews Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare, is seeking a Night-shift Care Assistant to support residents overnight as part of the care team. Core duties include personal hygiene care, promoting independence, and safeguarding residents' dignity.

No prior care experience is required as full induction and training will be provided. DBS disclosure and proof of right to work in the UK are required.

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to keep services continuous for residents
• Assist residents with all personal hygiene care, promoting independence, dignity and respect
• Recognise clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls and signs of infection, and expedite them promptly
• Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting each resident's dignity and individuality
• Work safely across the range of tasks
