Job summary

Bluebird Care in Newbury and surrounding area is hiring a Care Assistant. You will support customers in their homes with daily living tasks, personal care, meals, and mobility, working either independently or as part of a friendly team.

Benefits include paid mileage, full induction, uniform and PPE, ongoing training, and opportunities for career development. A full UK driving licence and right to work are required; weekend work is required on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Permanent, unrestricted Right to Work in the UK.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Care experience is beneficial but not essential (induction provided).

Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable, friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for

Requirements

• *A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle*
• You must hold a permanent, unrestricted Right to Work in the UK
• You will be required to work every other weekend at least 1 day

• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as a full Induction will be provided
