Job summary

HomeInsteadcare is seeking a Care Assistant/Support Worker to help older adults with evening routines, provide reassurance, and promote safety at home.

You will perform personal care, medication support, meal preparation and companionship, with travel between remote sites using a Category B license. DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• A valid Category B driving license is a genuine occupational requirement.
• Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
• You must have the right to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
• Desirable: Level 4 English and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Morning/evening personal care (washing, toileting, dressing for bed).
• Give medication support and assist with mobility.
• Prepare light meals, drinks and snacks for clients.
• Offer companionship and conversation at the end of the day.
• Record simple care notes after each visit.
• Take clients out for socialising or appointments.
