Job summary

Caremark Worcester is seeking Care Assistants to support people in their own homes across Worcestershire. The role offers full and part-time hours with a salary of £12.82 per hour plus mileage allowance.

You will travel to clients’ homes, assist with daily tasks, medication prompting, meals, shopping and community activities. Full training is provided, with opportunities to progress within the Caremark team.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence required.
• Access to a vehicle for work.
• Willingness to travel across Worcestershire.

Responsibilities

• Meet the support requirements of customers in their homes or within the community.
• Travel to customers' homes across Worcestershire to provide assistance.
• Help with daily tasks as agreed with the customer and Caremark.
• Assist with shopping, meal preparation and daily routines.
• Provide prompting with medication and support social activities.
• Offer respite services and help customers access the community.

Roles and Responsibilities

Caremark’s care assistants are responsible for meeting the support requirements of our customers, in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence. You would travel to the customers home, in Worcestershire and assist them with daily tasks as agreed between the customer and Caremark, being a pair of helping hands with tasks that require it.

Your role would include helping customers with tasks such as:

• Shopping & meal preparation
• Prompting with medication
• Support with daily routines
• Respite services
• Socialising and leisure activities
• Helping customers access the community

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

We are happy to speak to you if looking to either get into care for the first time, right through to people who have been in the industry for years. You might only want a few hours a week to pass the time, we would love to hear from you.

Full training is provided for anyone joining Caremark . For those looking to further themselves, we offer extra opportunities with training specialists.
