Job Description

Why Home Instead?

  • Working Hours: Choose the regular hours that work best for you—whether it’s mornings, evenings, weekends, or even a combination of these on as many or as little days as you need. We offer both full-time and part-time roles, so you can balance work with your personal life.

  • Make a Difference: You'll be providing essential care and support, helping older adults live independently and comfortably in their own homes.

  • Pay & Benefits: We offer great pay starting at £12.70 per hour (upon completing the Care Certificate), plus paid travel time, mileage allowance at 45p per mile, 28 days paid holiday, and pension scheme.

  • Ongoing Training & Support: Receive full training to obtain your Care certificate, development opportunities, and support for professional qualifications.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you’ll be providing essential care to older adults in their own homes. Your tasks may include:

  • Companionship: Providing conversation, company, and emotional support.

  • Pet Care: Assisting with feeding and walking pets.

  • Social Outings: Supporting clients with trips, appointments, and activities.

You’ll enjoy the ability to choose hours that best suit your schedule. Whether you need morning shifts, evening hours, or even weekend work, we can offer a range of hours to match your regular availability.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Compassionate individuals with a genuine desire to help others.

  • Reliability: Ability to commit to regular hours and have a strong work ethic.

  • Flexibility: Comfortable working different shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • Ability to work independently but also ask for support when needed.

  • A caring and respectful nature, building meaningful relationships with clients.

  • Access to a car (essential due to the rural location of our clients).
