Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Care Workers / Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker should ideally have some experience in care and be compassionate.

They will help with the day-to-day care of patients either at home or within a healthcare facility.

Care Workers / Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and/or qualifications are not essential but are preferable.

As a Care Worker, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant, you would work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other healthcare assistants.

Your duties may include:

1. Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
2. Assisting with meals and feeding
3. Making and changing beds
4. Turning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores
5. Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
6. Helping patients move around
7. Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
8. Maintaining a tidy ward or home
9. Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and equipment to lift and move patients. In hospitals, you may escort patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.

We also recruit staff such as General Nurses, RGN at all levels (mainly Band 5 and Band 6), Healthcare Assistants, Community Nurses, and Specialist Nurses including A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre Nurses.
