Job summary

Choices Homecare is seeking Care Assistants to support clients at home, enabling independence and comfort. No prior care experience is required; training is provided. Roles include personal care, meal preparation, medication support and daily wellness checks.

A full UK driving licence may be needed for some routes and shifts run 7 days a week with flexible hours, minimum 20 hours weekly. Join a friendly community care team that offers training, progression opportunities, and mileage allowance.

Qualifications

• No care experience required; attitude and willingness to learn are valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Support with medication and accurate record-keeping.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking.
• Encourage independence in daily activities.
• Build positive relationships with those we support and their families.
• Support emotional wellbeing and notice changes in needs or behavior.
• Complete accurate care records and communicate with colleagues.
• Help maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment.
• Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries.
