Job summary

The Hollies Care Home in Pontypridd is hiring a Care Assistant to join a compassionate team. Training and induction are provided, with an emphasis on privacy, dignity and resident choice. The role offers part-time hours (22 hrs) and a salary aligned with the Real Living Wage.

Candidates should be energetic, motivated, and caring with good communication skills. Weekend and holiday work may be required, and carriage to the home is necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in care desirable but not essential.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to commute to The Hollies Care Home.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to residents in the home.
• Assist with personal care, dressing, mealtime support and mobility.
• Monitor and record residents' physical and emotional well-being.
• Engage residents in activities to promote social and mental stimulation.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Collaborate with care and nursing team to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
