Job summary

Routes Healthcare is seeking a Care Assistant - Driver with Own Vehicle to provide homecare across the S36 area and surrounding regions. You will travel to clients’ homes to deliver person-centred care, manage medications, assist with meals, and support wellbeing.

The role offers full- and part-time hours, with a rota and weekend availability. You must have the right to work in the UK, a valid UK driving licence, and access to a car for work.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK without needing employer support.
• Full valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work.
• Reliable, compassionate and committed to delivering excellent care.
• Desirable: At least 3 months paid care experience in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Visiting clients in their own homes and providing person-centred care.
• Support with medication management and meal preparation.
• Assist with personal care with dignity and respect.
• Travelling between client visits as part of a shift.
• Work solo or in a 2-person team depending on client needs.
