Job summary

Routes Healthcare is seeking a Care Assistant - Driver with Own Vehicle to travel to clients in Skipton, Keighley and surrounding areas, providing person-centered homecare. The role requires a UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK, with travel between client visits throughout the day.

The position offers full-time and part-time hours, with pay at £14.24 per hour (including holiday pay) plus 30p per mile. A DBS check is funded and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship.
• Must have a full valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work.
• Desirable: at least 3 months paid care experience in the UK.
• Female requirement: role advertised for female care assistants only as a Genuine Occupational Requirement.

Responsibilities

• Visiting vulnerable and palliative clients in their own homes.
• Providing personal care with dignity and respect.
• Supporting with medication management.
• Assisting with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Working solo or as part of a 2-person team depending on client needs.
• Travelling between client visits throughout your shift.
