Job summary

Bluebird Care Folkestone and Dover is looking for a caring Care Assistant to join our expert team and help set the standard in home care. You will support customers with daily living, from personal care to meal prep and medication assistance, in their own homes, with full training and ongoing support.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred to enable flexible visits across the area.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
• Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to follow care plans
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not a necessity as full training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
