Job summary

Jewish Care in London is seeking a caring Care Assistant for a 1 Year Fixed Term Contract. You will support residents with personal care, meals, and activities, delivering person-centred support to help them live well.

Care Assistant (Days) - 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Our multi-award-winning organisation is looking to recruit a Care Assistant to join our Care team on a 1 Year Fixed Term Contract..

As a Care Assistant, you’ll support residents with daily living, from personal care to mealtimes and activities, always taking a person-centred approach. You’ll get to know each resident as an individual—what matters to them, what makes them smile—and tailor your support to help them live well.

No two days are the same, but every day is meaningful.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting residents with personal care and daily routines
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Encouraging independence, choice, and dignity
• Assisting with meals, activities, and wellbeing
• Working as part of a supportive team to deliver outstanding care
• Building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues

Working pattern

You’ll work on a two-week rolling rota:

Week 1: 4 days

Week 2: 2 days

12-hour shifts (8am–8pm), including some weekends

Average of 38.5 hours per week
