Qualifications

Our stunning care home, Grosvenor Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Great Boughton, Chester. The home is registered to provide care to 81 residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. It reflects the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. Grosvenor Manor is rated OUTSTANDING in Responsive and GOOD in all other domains by CQC and has a 5-star EHO rating. We prioritize safety, comfort, and quality care, and are located in a reputable area. We have maintained zero agency usage for over four years, employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity and trust with residents. All staff are paid above the national living wage.

We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership and effective 24-hour management of the home within available resources. The role is full-time with an excellent hourly rate of £13.50. Shift times are 0745-2000, with alternate weekend working. Applicants must have a care certificate or NVQ 2 or above in Health and Social Care, with experience in medication management and administration.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Promote the highest standard of person-centred clinical nursing care to residents.
  • Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team to ensure quality care delivery during shifts.
  • Be a role model and demonstrate person-centred care delivery.
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults in your care.
  • Manage the delivery of residents' personalized care according to their plans.
  • Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
  • Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage daily rotas and delegate workload to ensure sufficient staffing.
  • Complete new admission files within one week of arrival, with contributions from the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
  • Build relationships with external professionals.
  • Assist in regular quality audits of care plans.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Medication management and administration experience.
  • Experience working with older people.
  • Care certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or above is essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achievement within the first 12 months.
  • Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs.
  • Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Self-motivated and confident.
