Job summary

Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH, is recruiting for a Complex Care role in Epsom to support a sociable child with complex medical needs. You will deliver specialist care, assist with daily living, light domestic tasks and a range of social and sensory activities in line with an individualised care plan.

You will work with regular supervision from a registered nurse, participate in team meetings and ongoing clinical training, and a valid driver’s license is required to cover local locations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a complex care setting.
• Experience in moving and handling.
• Experience in tracheostomy & PEG feeding care.
• Experience of looking after a ventilated child.
• Experience with suctioning.
• Experience with Makaton or alternative communication methods.
• You will need to be a car driver due to the location.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist care for a child with complex medical needs.
• Support daily living and light domestic tasks.
• Deliver social and sensory activities (messy/water play, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, discos).
• Follow an individualised care plan with regular supervision.
• Assist with moving and handling due to spinal instability.
