Job summary

Harmony Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support clients in Salisbury in a 1:1 home-care setting. The role focuses on enabling safe, dignified living at home with tailored support and clear care plans.

You will perform clinical tasks under training, with weekends and 12-hour shifts available, and drivers may be required depending on client needs. A stable, empathetic approach is valued.

£15.20 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

This is a meaningful 1:1 role where you can genuinely see the impact of the support you provide.

Clinical Requirements

You will support the client with the specific clinical tasks outlined in their care plan. These may include:

• Oxygen saturation monitoring
• Suctioning
• Airway management
• Cough assist
• Ventilation support
• PEG/JEJ management
• Epilepsy management
• Moving and handling
• Personal care
• Medication support

Full specialist training and competency sign-off are provided by our Clinical Team, so you do not need to have every skill listed to apply.

Shifts Available

We offer consistent and predictable shifts to support your work–life balance and financial stability.

• Weekend day shifts
• Weekend night shifts
• 12-hour shift or shorter calls
• Driver requirements if applicable
• Regular pattern (e.g., every Saturday and Sunday)

What the Role Involves

• Providing emotional reassurance and wellbeing support
• Communicating effectively with the clinical, care, and coordination teams

Your presence will help the client feel safe, supported and in control of their daily routine.

• Confidence with clinical tasks (or a willingness to train)
• Strong communication and reliability
• Empathy, emotional intelligence and person-centred values
• Ability to work independently and professionally
• Experience up to 5 years in care settings within the UK
