Job summary

Right at Home Central Wiltshire is seeking caring Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes across Wiltshire. Shifts are available 7:00–15:00 or 15:00–22:30, with alternate weekends required. Training is provided, no prior care experience needed, and opportunities for NVQ progression exist.

You’ll join an award-winning team that values compassion, reliability and an improving quality of life for clients. A driving licence and own vehicle are preferred for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care at clients' homes (washing, dressing, bathing).
• Administer or prompt medication as needed.
• Prepare meals and drinks for clients.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with shopping, appointments, and social activities.
• Support mobility and independence.
• Light housekeeping and ensuring client safety and comfort.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, but every visit matters.

You’ll support clients in their own homes by:

• Providing personal care including washing, dressing and bathing
• Administering or prompting medication
• Preparing meals and drinks
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Helping with shopping, appointments and social outings
• Supporting mobility and independence
• Light housekeeping and ensuring clients remain safe and comfortable

You’ll leave every shift knowing you’ve made someone's day a little easier.

We’ll give you everything you need to become a confident Care Assistant.

Your training includes:

• Three days of face-to-face classroom training
• Medication training
• Manual handling
• Basic Life Support
• Infection prevention
• Safeguarding
• Dementia awareness
• Food hygiene

• Mental Capacity Act
• Comprehensive online learning
• Paid shadowing with experienced CareGivers

After 12 months, you’ll also have the opportunity to complete a fully funded NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care, helping you build a long-term career with us.
