Job summary

Right at Home Oxford is hiring dedicated Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes. We offer full-time or part-time roles with flexible hours from 7am to 10pm, training, and opportunities for progression within a supportive, award-winning team.

Earn up to £17.37 per hour with additional benefits including mileage allowance, paid travel time, and paid holiday. No previous care experience is required as full induction and ongoing mentoring are provided.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate by nature.
• Full UK or EU driving licence is required.
• Access to your own vehicle is preferred.
• Excellent communication and a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Encourage independence and wellbeing; assist with personal care.
• Support with washing, dressing and grooming; assist with mobility and moving & handling.
• Prepare meals and drinks; help with shopping and errands; light housekeeping.

Care Assistant Pay Rates

Day Care

• £14.5 per hour weekdays

• £15.5 per hour weekends

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, but every visit matters.

You will support clients in their own homes by:

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Encouraging independence and wellbeing

• Assisting with personal care

• Supporting with washing, dressing and grooming

• Administering or prompting medication

• Supporting mobility and moving & handling

• Preparing meals and drinks

• Helping with shopping and errands

• Light housekeeping duties

• Accompanying clients to appointments and social outings

You’ll finish each shift knowing you've genuinely improved someone's day.
