About the role:
A day centre in the Bordesley Green area in Birmingham is looking for experienced and passionate Support Workers to join their day centre on a temporary basis. This day centre is for older adults and young people who may have autism and complex needs. Therefore, previous experience working with service users who have complex needs is important for this role. You will be supporting these service users throughout the day, offering companionship, support, and assistance. Responsibilities include escorting the service users on the mini-bus in the AM and PM, as well as assisting them with personal needs such as eating, drinking, and supporting the service user to the toilet.
It is a long-term role which will last for 3–4 months and will be Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. You will not be expected to work weekends or bank holidays.
