Job summary

Advantage Healthcare is seeking a dedicated caregiver to join the Complex Care team in Epsom, providing specialist support to a child with complex medical needs. You will assist with daily living, tracheostomy care, ventilation support, PEG feeding, and mobility, within a client-centred care plan.

Full training and ongoing clinical supervision will be provided by the London branch, with opportunities for career progression and a family-friendly work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a complex care setting.
• Experience in moving and handling.
• Experience in tracheostomy & PEG feed care.
• Experience of looking after a ventilated child.
• Experience with suctioning.
• Experience with Makaton or alternative communication methods.
• You will need to be a car driver due to the location.

Job Description

What you’ll do

Join a dedicated care team supporting a delightful and sociable child to reach his full potential.

You will provide specialist care for a child with complex medical needs, supporting daily living, light domestic tasks, and a range of social and sensory activities, including messy and water play, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, and attending discos.

Care will be delivered in line with an individualised care plan and includes tracheostomy care, ventilation support, PEG feeding for hydration, and specialist moving and handling due to spinal instability.

You will be fully supported by theAdvantage HealthcareLondon branch, with regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training and clinical support from a registered nurse.
