Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant to support people in their own homes across the UK. No prior care experience is required as comprehensive training, support and confidence-building are provided.

You will need a driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with a kind, reliable, people-first mindset and a willingness to learn. Flexible shift patterns, paid mileage, generous holiday and pension, and ongoing training including Care Certificate are part of the package.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and help customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands and attend to prescriptions.
