Job summary

Helping Hands Homecare in Southend on Sea is seeking a Care Assistant on a Flexible contract to help people live well in their own homes. You will provide companionship, assist with personal care and daily tasks, and support independence.

No previous care experience is needed; we value kindness, reliability and a genuine desire to help others. You will receive full training and ongoing support, with mileage paid and pension entitlements.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• No prior care experience required; what matters is kindness, reliability and a genuine desire to help others. Training will be provided to help you thrive.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
