Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant in Wantage to provide compassionate, in-home support to clients. Training and ongoing support are provided, with focus on safety and dignity in daily living.

You’ll help with personal care, mobility, household tasks, and errands while building a meaningful career in a friendly, purpose-driven team.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required.
• Ability to work in a customer-facing home-care setting.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship to customers in their homes.
• Assist with personal care (washing, bathing, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with mobility to help customers stay safe.
• Oversee and administer medications per care plans.
• Help with household tasks (cleaning, cooking, meal prep).
• Run errands (groceries, prescriptions).
• Offer calm, caring support and dignity.

What you’ll do
