RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CARE ASSISTANT

As a CARE ASSISTANT FLEXIBLE CARE SHIFTS, your duties will include:

• Supporting individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Assisting with meals, drinks and mobility in line with individual care plans.
• Providing companionship, reassurance and appropriate emotional support.
• Promoting independence, personal choice and participation in everyday activities.
• Following care plans and communicating effectively with colleagues, families and relevant professionals.
• Maintaining accurate care records and reporting changes in an individual's condition or any concerns.
• Following safeguarding, infection prevention, confidentiality and other relevant care procedures.
• Delivering support that respects each person's needs, preferences, dignity and individual circumstances.

To succeed as a CARE ASSISTANT FLEXIBLE CARE SHIFTS, your CV must demonstrate:

• Previous experience in healthcare or social care.
• A compassionate, respectful and professional approach to supporting others.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, flexibility and a commitment to high-quality care.
• The ability to follow care plans, procedures and instructions appropriate to your role and training.
• An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred support.

Experience supporting adults, children or both is welcome. Assignments will be matched to your experience, training and competence.

A Care Certificate or relevant health and social care qualification is desirable.
