Job summary

Queens View Harbour Care Home in Troon is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, dignity and wellbeing. The role offers full or part-time hours, with training and ongoing development provided to help you grow.

You will work within a supportive team, delivering person-centred care, including personal care, mobility support and nutrition, ensuring residents feel valued and safe each day.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.

• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to contribute to safe, responsive care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, positive environment where residents feel cared for.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to Full time or Part time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
