Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality, person-centred care for residents living with dementia in our UK care home. You will support daily living activities, uphold dignity and wellbeing, and nurture a safe, welcoming environment.

The role is 36 hours per week, 8 am to 8 pm, on a 3 on/3 off rota with every other weekend; you will work with colleagues, families and health professionals to monitor wellbeing, maintain records, and follow safeguarding and

• Support residents with mobility, eating, and drinking.
• Deliver person-centred care tailored to individual needs and preferences.
• Support residents living with dementia through effective communication and reassurance.
• Encourage independence, dignity, and choice at all times.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns or changes.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Assist with activities and promote social engagement.

Job Purpose

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents living with dementia, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, and psychological needs are met. The Care Assistant will promote dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing while creating a safe, caring, and supportive environment.
