Job summary

Maypole Care Home in Hedge End (Southampton) is recruiting a Care Assistant. You will support residents with daily living, provide companionship and personal care, and help maintain dignity and independence. Shifts include day and night rotations with alternate weekends.

Ideal candidates show motivation, positivity, and excellent communication. Prior care home experience or a Health and Social Care qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with companionship and personal care as needed.

• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
