Job summary

Choices Homecare is seeking Care Assistants to support clients across the Rotherham and Doncaster regions. The role offers flexible full-time and part-time hours, paid care delivery time, and mileage allowance. Training is provided and career progression is available within a growing Optimo Care Group.

Expected duties include personal care, meal support, medication assistance, and maintaining accurate records. A UK driving licence is preferred for some routes.

Qualifications

• Prior care experience is helpful but not essential.
• A UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for some routes is preferred.
• Comfort with supporting personal care and daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Prepare meals and support eating and drinking when needed.
• Encourage independence and assist with daily living tasks.
• Build positive relationships with service users and their families.
• Support emotional wellbeing and identify changes in needs.
• Keep accurate records and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.

Choices Homecare are seeking Care Assistants for our clients in locations across the Rotherham and Doncaster Regions.

Rate of Pay: £13.65 per hour

Flexible full-time and part-time hours available

30p per mile mileage - the company will give you 30 pence for every mile you drive between client visits to help cover your petrol and vehicle wear-and-tear

What to expect in this role

Care is delivered 7 days a week between 07:00 and 23:00

We ask for a minimum of 16 hours per week

Every other weekend availability is required

This role is paid for care delivery time, with mileage reimbursed between calls at 30p per mile
