Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle at Reigate Grange in Reigate is seeking a caring Care Assistant to join our luxury home. You’ll support residents with daily tasks and dementia care, help them feel at home with dignity, and build warm relationships with residents and their families.

Full-time day and night shifts (36 hours per week) are available with alternate weekends. We offer up to 30 days annual leave, eight bank holidays, free meals on shift, life assurance and a comprehensive training and

• No prior experience required; good written and verbal communication and some IT skills are helpful.
• An NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with washing, dressing, eating and mobility.
• Support dementia care and activities; help residents feel at home and maintain their dignity.
• Develop and contribute to residents' Care Plans, noting any specialist needs.

What you will do

We’ll need you to bring your compassion and uniqueness to this role. Your days as a Care Assistant will be varied, interesting and rewarding, from general care right through to specialist dementia care. You’ll assist residents with washing, dressing, eating, drinking and getting around. You’ll help them make their apartments feel like home. You’ll enjoy their favourite activities with them, like bingo, shopping and live music. You’ll develop strong relationships with the individuals you work with, and their families.

You’ll be respectful of residents’ choices, dignity and independence, always. You’ll also be integral to developing residents Care Plans, which includes being aware of any specialist support needs.

• Full time Day/Night shifts available (3 shifts per week) - alternate weekends required.
